Future Plans

Where is Mama going next, you might ask.  Since you were kind enough to visit Mama's page, she will share some of the future plans for Mama Mara.
  • BRINES! Mama has plans to offer her first brine when farmers' market season begins (May 2012). 
  • DIPS! Mama will be busy over the "off" season (which is the non-market season).  She plans to cook up some great new dry dips... We aren't talking meat rubs, but instead these will be new additions... vegetable and fruit dips.  As you have already guessed... Mama is very versatile.  Her meat rubs can be used as seasonings on vegetables and whipped up with sour cream and mayonnaise into some pretty crazy dips.  The first cookbook has recipes with many variations.  So expect her dips mixes to be no different! 
    We are talking about flavors like cheesy bacon, garden spinach and Cajun to name a few!  They can be used as dips for veges and chips, rubs, cheese balls and toppings for baked potatoes.  And for the sweet tooth... think about chocolate mousse, English toffee and white chocolate raspberry.  Not only do the sweet dips make the most delectable fruit dip you will ever sink your teeth into, but they make great cheesecakes, bagel spreads and even ice creams!  So keep your eyes open for updates as Mama is whipping up her new creations.
  • CANDLES!  Mama has always loved the scent of candles.  She believes that candles add a special warmth to her home. Since she loves mixing spices...  why wouldn't she love to try her hand at combining fragrances?  There will be lots of great scents including southern homestead, harvest spice, apricot & flowers, and moonlight.  So keep your eyes open for candle updates!
  • ANOTHER COOKBOOK!!! Mama had so much fun writing the first cookbook that she will be starting on Volume 2.  It may take a while, so until then, you may want to try Volume 1 (If My Mom was a Casserole).
